About PlayZone
PlayZone is an independent hub for free, instantly playable HTML5 games. We started this project because the modern browser-game web has become heavy, intrusive, and cluttered with trackers, a single "free game" page can easily load dozens of third-party scripts, pop modal ads before the game begins, and demand an account for features that should be free. Our goal is the opposite of all that: a clean, fast, respectful experience where you arrive, click a card, and start playing in seconds.
Our Story
PlayZone began as a weekend passion project. As a long-time fan of classic browser arcades like Miniclip, Armor Games, and Kongregate, founder Shivam Kumar wanted to recreate that "one URL, many games" feeling for the 2020s, using only modern web standards and none of the bloat. Rather than licensing or embedding games from elsewhere, he made a deliberate choice early on: every game on PlayZone would be designed, coded, and tested in-house, so the whole experience, from loading speed to touch controls, stays under one roof.
PlayZone is published on sarkarishivam.com, the personal domain of founder Shivam Kumar, and is operated by him from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India.
Our Mission
We design and build original HTML5 games and present them inside a lightweight, responsive, mobile-first website. Every game runs directly in your browser using standards-based technology, HTML5 Canvas and vanilla JavaScript, which means it works on any modern device without plug-ins, installers, or accounts. Our pages weigh a fraction of what typical gaming portals ship, and we refuse to load heavy trackers or interstitial ads.
Editorial Policy
PlayZone is an independently run, hands-on project, not an algorithmic aggregator. Every single game is personally played and tested before it is listed, and a game will not be published unless it meets the following criteria:
- Playable in under 2 seconds. If the page takes longer than that to load, we drop it.
- No adult, violent, or gambling content. Our audience includes families, and we keep the line well away from "mature."
- No unnecessary permissions. Games must not ask for camera, microphone, location, or contacts.
- Built in-house. Every game is written from scratch for this site. We do not embed, mirror, or republish games from other websites.
- Mobile-friendly. If a game cannot be made to work well on a phone, we do not publish it.
How We Build Games
Every title on PlayZone goes through the same four-step process. First, we pick a classic genre that still excites modern players, tile puzzles, endless reflex tests, top-down driving. Second, we design and code an original implementation in HTML5 Canvas and vanilla JavaScript. Third, we play-test it on multiple browsers and phones, tuning difficulty and touch controls until it feels right on a budget Android device as well as a desktop. Finally, we write a long-form guide for each game so you can understand the strategy as well as play it.
What You'll Find Here
- Puzzle: logic and brain games like Sudoku, Memory Match, Word Scramble, and Lights Off, short, calm, and deeply replayable.
- Arcade: fast-paced games like Star Catcher and Maze Escape, perfect for a five-minute break.
- Action: reflex games like Bubble Pop and Reaction Test that reward timing and focus.
- Racing: top-down driving challenges like Lane Dodge that deliver a real sense of speed.
- Blog: long-form strategy guides and history articles to help you get more out of every genre.
Content Policy
PlayZone contains only casual, non-violent, family-friendly content. We do not
publish games that depict graphic violence, adult themes, gambling, or that collect
personal data from players. We do not ask you to sign up, log in, or share any
information to play. The strongest piece of data any of our games stores is a high
score, kept in your own browser's localStorage so we never see it.
Who Makes the Games
All 16 games on PlayZone are original works designed, programmed, and tested in-house by founder Shivam Kumar. They are inspired by timeless casual-game ideas, sliding tiles, memory cards, reflex catches, but every line of gameplay code, every graphic, and every guide is written specifically for this site. If you believe any content on this site infringes your rights, please contact us and we will respond promptly.
